As we rolled along the rural byway
We noticed the trees of red and gold
The bellows and wisps of wind did tether
The glowing leaves first to then fro
One couldn’t help but watch the fanfare
Tree after tree a musical show
Those briny leaves like rockettes dancing
The glit and glimmer alive and aglow
The theme was set at nature’s theater
And we were blessed with front row seats
The dance of the trees kept our attention
The autumn leaves were the best of treats
